Tänkte montera loss passagerarstolen för att kolla om det var samma problem som förarstolen, men först testade jag med att "gnugga" den strulande kontakten lite, och då vaknade den till liv. Nu fungerar båda stolarna som de ska. Felsökte höger ytterspegel ytterligare en gång efter att ha studerat kretschemat i detalj. Jag spårade kablarna med signalspåraren och konstaterade att kablarna är hela, men spegeln rör sig fortfarande bara i 2 riktningar, inte 4 som den ska. Det skulle kunna vara så att den ena motorn har tappat jordkontakten inne i själv spegeln eftersom därifrån är det gemensam jordledning och den fungerar uppenbarligen eftersom en motor rör sig. Jag har ju testat de båda motorerna var för sig och då fungerar de. Bytte ut tändmodulen eftersom jag redan hade köpt en ny, den gamla får ligga som reserv. Bytte ut den brummande fläkten som suger kupeluft till temperatursensorn som styr temperaturen i kupén.
I was going to remove the passenger seat to fix it the same way as the driver's seat, but first I tried to "rub" the nonworking switch back and forth a bit, and it made it work. So, the seat stayed in place. I was fault-finding the right-hand mirror once again after studying the wire diagram in detail. I coupled a trace signal to the wires, and the signal came through in all the wires to the RH/LH switch. I also checked them with an instrument. Still, it only moves in 2 directions. The only reason I can see for this is that one of the motors has lost ground contact. The ground wire to the switch is common. I know that both motors work because I tested them separately while working with the loudspeakers. I had a new ignition module, so it went in and the old one out and became a spare. Replaced the fan that sucks air over the sensor for climate control temperature, the old fan was humming quite loud, so I bought a less used on eBay.

Monterade tillbaka förarstolen med nya bultar, de gamla insexbultar var nästan förstörda i ingreppsytorna. Felsökte höger ytterspegel en gång till då jag missstänkte omkastaren mellan höger och vänster skulle ha samma problem som stolskontakten. Tog isär kontakten gjorde rent och testade, men spegeln rör sig bara i 2 riktningar, inte 4 som den ska.
I refitted the driver's seat with new bolts, because the old bolts were damaged in the key area. I waas fault-finding the RH mirror once again, as I suspected the RH7LH switch it to have the same problem as the seat switch. I took it appart but it had no oxidation at all and worked as it should. The mirror still only moves in 2 directions.

Tillverkade och monterade ett fäste för diagnosuttaget. Felsökte passagerarstolens elmotorer och slutligen fram till att det var dålig kontakt i en av brytarna. Plockade isär den och putsade upp kontaktytorna. Efter 4 försök fick jag ihop den igen så att den fungerade på avsett sätt. Fixade tull lite andra småsaker i elen.
I made a brace for the diagnostic contact and fitted it. As a result of fault-finding the motors for the driver´s seat, it turned out to be one of the switches that didn't work. I broke it apart and cleaned the contact surfaces. After 4 attempts, I got it working again; there were plenty of small springs and small ballbearing balls inside. I also tidied up the wiring.

Löder in nya kabelhärvor mot radions ISO-kontakt. Monterar DAB-antennen. Kollar att radioantennen i rutan är ansluten, strömmatning till förstärkaren tas från nya radion. När jag ändå spårar kablar hittar jag en förbikoppling för suffletten, alla förreglingar för hastighet och fönsterlägen är förbikopplade, det skulle gå att köra upp suffletten i 100 kph.
I'm soldering in new wiring looms for the radio. Fitting the DAB antenna. Checking that the radio antenna and amplifier in the windscreen are connected. Voltage supply from the new radio. While tracing wires for the radio and loudspeakers, I found the reason why the electric soft top is working so well, all interlocks are bypassed, so ther will be no problems raising the soft top at 100 mph!!

Jag har försökt spåra varför höger spegel bara rör sig i två ledder. Provkört med direkt matning och båda motorerna kan köra fram och back. Troligen är boven i dramat omkastarknappen eller något kabelbrott.
I've tried to track down why RH mirror only moves in two senses. I've tested direct feed to the motors and both work. Mayby it is a problem with the wiring or the RH/LH switch?

Det visar sig att radioinstallationen inklusive högtalare och kabeldragning har mycket att önska. Av någon anledning har man dragit högtalarkablar för 100-tals watt alldeles i onödan när det redan fanns befintlig dragning, som jag tänker återanvända efter sanering. Delningsfiltren i dörrarna ligger i plastpåsar som fuktskydd. Jag gör om all kabeldragning mellan filter, diskanter och huvudhögtalarna. Fäster filtren i baksätets paneler med skruv isf vävtejp som innan.
You can wish a lot about the fitting and the wiring to the loudspeakers. Wiring is made from cables used in houses, and the loudspeaker cables are far too thick. I'm going to use the original wires because I've traced them and they go to the right places. The filters are in plastic bags. The decision is to redo everything, one of the front woofers is broken.

Nästa steg är att demontera radion och dess förstärkare, testet med att ha en adapterkasset som kan ta emot bluetooth fungerar inte, radion bara spottar ut den falska kasetten.Jag köper en radio från BRL, Kenwood, rätt så standard, enda finessen är väl DAB.
The next step is removing the radio and its amplifier, because the test using a Bluetooth adapter that looks like a tape cassette didn't work. The radio just spat out the fake cassette. I'm buying a new Kenwood radio, very standard, the only finesse is DAB.

Letar förtvivlat efter diagnosuttaget. Det visar sig att när någon installerat radioförstärkaren har inte uttaget fått plats utan man har stuvat undan det bakom och ovanför handskfacket. När jag väl hittat det och kört diagnosen hittas inga felkoder. Märk väl att det här är en tidig variant av styrdator så koderna är begränsade till motorn. Första ombyggnaden blir en fjärrstyrd säkerhetsbrytare, likadan som jag har i Json.
I was desperately looking for the diagnostic contact. It turned out to be hidden up and behind the glovebox because the amplifier for th radio needed space. After finding it, I ran the diagnostic program, and everything was OK. Mind though that at the end of the -80 it was mainly the engine that had fault codes. First new thing in the car is a remote controled saftey switch on the ground wire.
